Everton ace Jarrad Branthwaite having medical ahead of PSV loan move
Everton defender Jarrad Branthwaite is in Eindhoven having his medical ahead of a loan move to PSV, according to Dutch journalist Rik Elfrink.
The 20-year-old only played six games for the Toffees in the Premier League last season but he did score a vital goal to earn a draw away at Chelsea and then get himself sent off at home to Brentford late on in the campaign.
He is now looking for more regular football and PSV Eindhoven seems to be his destination after former Everton director of football Marcel Brands used his connections on Merseyside to get a deal done.
He is now undergoing a medical ahead of the move with only permits left to be sorted before the Eredivisie club, who will also play in Europe this season, can confirm his loan signing.
“PSV confirms that defender Jarrad Branthwaite is hired from Everton. Medical examination in progress, permits to be fixed. Going to be fine. He is already in Eindhoven City,” Elfrink said via his personal Twitter account.
Perfect move
At this stage in Branthwaite’s career, there is no better loan move he could possibly hope for but he now needs to make the most of it and come back to Everton next summer as a changed man and player.
He gets the chance to experience a completely different style and ideology of football by playing every single week in a highly competitive league where he is representing one of their most fancied sides.

There is also the added challenge of adapting to a new country and learning to live without any comforts of family or friends living close by should anything go wrong.
That might even be what Frank Lampard is most looking at as he is on the verge of his loan move as he is unlikely to be doing much defending in the majority of games due to PSV’s ability compared to the rest of the league.
Only Ajax and Feyenoord should give Eindhoven a real test in the Eredivisie which may mean their European encounters is where he will be tested most.
