Everton may regret Moise Kean sale after standout fitness test results

The £60million sale of Richarlison has left a big hole in the Everton squad and they could regret the potential sale of another attacker.

Moise Kean spent the 2021-22 season on loan at Juventus in Serie A and he still has another year left on his temporary stay in Turin before the deal is due to become official in a £24million purchase.

The Old Lady have not played the Italian international nearly as much as they perhaps thought when they agreed to the two-year loan of the 22-year-old and therefore seem to be unwilling to now pay the obligated fee.

But despite his poor performances at Goodison Park in previous seasons, Frank Lampard has not yet seen what he can do in the Premier League and he may want him to return to Everton now.

Goal Italia journalist Romeo Agresti reported via his personal Twitter account on 15 July that Kean had been the standout Juventus player in the club’s pre-season fitness tests after a long off-season.

That is often the sign of a player who is rejuvenated and wants to better himself as much as possible which is also the kind of player managers love to have around to inspire not only themselves but the rest of the squad too.

Everton

The Everton boss will be concerned about his goal-scoring record throughout his career but everybody should get a second chance to shine and Kean could well be the player who we are in need of now that Richarlison has left for Spurs.

Unfortunately, it looks like there is no way out for Juve in buying the Italian international unless they can find someone else who wants to buy him in 12 months time.

We will now forever be in a state of ‘what if?’ with Kean because maybe Lampard was the man to unlock the beast within.
