Everton could now launch bid for Armando Broja transfer as West Ham United close in

Everton could now be set to fire a bid for the permanent signing of Chelsea forward Armando Broja, according to the Guardian.

The newspaper has reported on its website that the Toffees are still in the market for a Richarlison replacement and could now make their move for the Albanian international.

It comes after the monster Monday (18 July) development that West Ham have made their move with a £30million bid plus add-ons after agreeing on personal terms.

Frank Lampard could look to use his Chelsea connections to get ahead in this race, but he is now many steps behind West Ham in this race.

Broja is jetting back to England from the United States of America and Chelsea’s pre-season tour for talks over his future in the coming days and weeks.

There was a worry over an injury after he was spotted in a protective boot, but that problem isn’t believed to be serious and shouldn’t be a problem for any transfer.

Everton

Decisions.

Lampard now has a decision to make sooner rather than later.

The Toffees are likely in a position where they can only afford to make one permanent signing, and are also said to be persisting on a deal for Maxwel Cornet at Burnley [Daily Mail].

The gaffer is a big fan of the Ivorian too, so if both Burnley and Chelsea push for permanent deals, it looks as though we aren’t going to be able to get both.

Chelsea don’t seem to be set on selling Broja permanently right about now, so if Everton can jump in at the last moment and offer a loan move with an obligation to buy for next season, that may suit all parties.

This is certainly one to watch in the coming days with transfer talk set to go into overdrive at both Goodison Park and the London Stadium after these monster Monday developments.
