Everton lead Jean-Clair Todibo race ahead of Manchester United
Everton are now leading the way in the race to sign OGC Nice defender Jean-Clair Todibo this summer, according to GOAL in France.
The 22-year-old, who played for Barcelona as a teenager, was almost an ever-present in Ligue 1 during the 2021-22 campaign which has seen a number of Premier League sides take an interest in his services.
The Toffees’ biggest challengers at this early stage are Manchester United although Newcastle United, AC Milan and Sevilla have also taken a look at the French Under-20 international.

Todibo is primarily a central defender but having been educated at the Camp Nou for three years, he is more than capable on the ball which could mean he would be played in a defensive midfield role should he be required to do so.
GOAL report that Everton is the “most obvious” destination for the Frenchman but no offer has been submitted just yet by the Toffees or any other club for that matter.
Go get him
Why have we not already sent an initial offer to the South Coast of France to try and get this deal done as soon as possible?
Barcelona do not sign players without knowing that they have plenty of ability or potential and even though it didn’t work in Catalonia, he still has plenty of growing potential to thrive in.

Goodison Park may be the place he needs to be right now in his career to find that spark that sets off the fireworks and if we can get him for a reasonable price, why would we not want to be involved in that?
Not only would he massively improve the current squad, but he would also have a load of sell-on potential should he hit the heights everyone thought he might when he burst onto the scene as a teenager.
So come on Kevin Thelwell and Farhad Moshiri, let’s not waste any more time and just get this deal sorted.
