View: Everton must act fast before they lose target Dennis to Nottingham Forest

Everton target Emmanuel Dennis is attracting interest from other Premier League clubs including Nottingham Forest, according to Daily Mail.

However, according to the Daily Mail’s Simon Jones, Premier League newboys Nottingham Forest have now entered the race for the Nigerian’s signature.

The report said: “Nottingham Forest are exploring a deal for Watford striker Emmanuel Dennis.

“The ambitious City Ground club have already spent in excess of £70million on new players and haven’t finished there as they look to strengthen their midfield and attack.”

Jones adds: “A number of clubs including Everton and Villarreal have been credited with interest and Watford want around £25million for the 24-year old.”

Watford paid just £3million to sign Dennis from Club Brugge one year ago.

Everton need to act fast

If Everton are to get their man they will need to act fast, with other clubs starting to circle around the Nigerian winger, and for good reason.

Dennis joined Watford from Club Brugge in June 2021 after making 116 appearances for the Belgian club, scoring 29 goals during his time there.

The versatile forward, who can be deployed anywhere across the front line, scored 10 goals in 33 Premier League last season for the Hornets while providing six assists, an impressive rate of a goal contribution almost every two games.

Dennis would provide firepower and Premier League experience to the Toffees’ attack and should be a deal that Frank Lampard should be looking to get over the line.

With more clubs starting to circle around the dynamic forward, the Toffees will need to make a substantial risk as soon as possible, or risk losing their target.

In other Everton news, the club are reportedly eyeing a move for Burnley attacker, Maxwell Cornet.
