Everton boss Frank Lampard does not impress Neil Warnock after 4-0 thrashing
Neil Warnock is not happy with Frank Lampard’s recent comments and believes he should be getting more out of this Everton side at present.
Everton suffered a miserable 4-0 pre-season defeat to Minnesota United during their tour of the United States, causing Lampard to issue a “relegation battle” warning to his players (as quoted by The Liverpool Echo).
Warnock believes that the Everton boss needs to get on with his job and get the best out of his side.
Talking on talkSPORT , in a clip posted on the station’s Twitter, on Friday 22 July, Warnock said: “I don’t like listening to words that Frank is saying at the minute.
“I felt a bit sorry for him if I’m honest as I didn’t think it was a job for a young lad.
“He’s not had many disappointments in his career and you’ve got to learn from them.
“He’s got to get on with his job now, when you look at his one to eleven it’s not that bad.”
Big mess
The whole situation surrounding the Toffees at the moment is a huge mess for everyone involved with the club.
The players clearly have to look at each other after their damaging defeat to the MLS side.
Regardless of the improving nature of the American game, there is no world where a Premier League side should be demolished by a side from the US so easily.
However, Lampard is in a position where he needs to get the best out of what is available to him and at present, and he isn’t doing that right now.

Furthermore, there are still question marks over Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s future which could make life even hard for the manager.
It is hard to tell what is going on behind the scenes at the club but Lampard and the club hierarchy have been so slow in the transfer window thus far.
New additions would obviously help the Toffees boss but ultimately they do have some quality in their ranks and certainly enough quality to beat Minnesota United.
It’s time for everyone involved with the club to pull together and take responsibility for what is going wrong.
