
Everton fans’ ire on show once more as UFC star Molly McCann mocks club after win
Everton were the subject of a dig from UFC star Molly McCann in her post-fight interview, after her victory against Hannah Goldy.
The mixed martial artist, who was born in Merseyside and supports the Toffees, defeated Goldy in a huge fight at the O2 in London on 23 July.
But the Everton fan couldn’t resist taking a dig in her post-fight interview, vowing to not let any of her fans down like her club does.
Speaking to the crowd she said, in a clip posted to the BT Sport UFC Twitter page: “I will not let you down, I’m not Everton Football Club!”

The 32-year-old couldn’t resist the urge to take a cheeky dig at her beloved club which are currently engulfed in negativity and uncertainty.
However, McCann, who grew up in the Norris Green area of Liverpool, has been outspoken about her love for the Toffees and wears her passion for the club proudly on her sleeve.
She has been frequently seen shouting her love for Everton in the ring and in pre-fight or post-fight press conferences.

McCann, nicknamed ‘Meatball Molly’, visited Goodison Park in 2017, in a video that was uploaded to the official Everton YouTube channel.
The UFC star also held a UFC fight camp at the Everton stadium in 2018, where she discussed how different sports including football changed her life and kept her on the right track, as well as her plans for the future.
McCann and fellow Merseyside UFC star, Paddy Pimblett, were pictured with Premier League legend Wayne Rooney in March 2022 after a fight, with the former Everton striker congratulating the duo on their victories at UFC Liverpool.
