Everton and Roma told to pay £8.5m to sign PSG midfielder Gini Wijnaldum
Everton or Roma will reportedly have to shell out £8.5million to sign Paris St. Germain midfielder Gini Wijnaldum this summer.
According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, the 31-year-old is keen on working with Jose Mourinho and moving to Rome.
The Toffees, who have a proposal on the table for the Netherlands international but he is expected to reject it once he can agree terms with the Serie A club.

Bullet dodged
It’s a good think that Wijnaldum fancies Roma over Everton as the Toffees can surely do with much better players.
They have plenty of dead weight in the side and do not want another player adding to that – especially one who’s in the twilight of his career.
Wijnaldum is unlikely to come on low wages and will want certain guarantees regarding his playing time, which is not possible as things stand.
What the Toffees need is a midfielder in his prime who can not only be a good midfield presence but also contribute to goals and assists.
The former Liverpool midfielder could do that in his heyday but his time in Paris has proven to be detrimental to any prospects of a big move in the future.
The Toffees must instead look to continue their efforts to sign Wolves’ Morgan Gibbs-White as it’s understood that they are likely to agree personal terms with him.
