Sky Sports pundit eyes dream Everton strike duo of Armando Broja and Dominic Calvert-Lewin

We’re delighted to welcome former Everton striker Kevin Campbell as our exclusive columnist. Each week the former Toffees captain will be giving his views on the biggest talking points at Goodison Park…

Armando Broja and Dominic Calvert-Lewin would be “a problem” for opponents if Everton can sign the Albanian, says Kevin Campbell.

The Toffees were willing to spend £30million to sign the Chelsea youngster earlier in the window before appearing to lose out to West Ham, but after that move stalled he is back on the look out for another option this summer.

Sky Sports pundit Campbell now thinks that Everton are the leading candidates to sign the 20-year-old and is excited at the prospect of the striker lining up alongside the current main man at Goodison and causing defences nightmares with their style of play.

Everton

Speaking exclusively to Goodison News he said: “Yeah, I think Everton SHOULD win that one, win that race.

“Good young player. Played in the Premier League and surprised a few didn’t he?

“With his performances, really mature performances, good lad.

“[I] could see Frank Lampard taking him, and him and Calvert-Lewin would be a handful.

“Two big lads. Two lads good in the air. Both hold it up. They could be a problem.”

If Lampard were to be reunited with the man he gave a Premier League debut to at Stamford Bridge it would boost the squad significantly after losing Richarlison.

The captures of Ruben Vinagre on loan, and now Dwight McNeil in double-quick time, have lifted the mood around the club after a barren few weeks in the transfer window.

Chelsea are still a hurdle to clear because they are taking so long to make decisions about their potential exits, something which led to West Ham singing Gianluca Scamacca instead, but late is better than never and it would be a major positive if Broja arrived at Goodison still.
