Everton close in on Idrissa Gana Gueye transfer, final details before permanent move
Everton are closing in on the permanent signing of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The reliable journalist has shared that the final details are being ironed out this week with optimism now in all parties ahead of the move to Goodison Park.
Frank Lampard is said to have wanted Gueye and opened talks on last Thursday for the move [28 July], which will now hopefully be concluded before the Premier League season.

Writing on his personal Twitter account, Romano shared the latest details over the proposed move which could now go through very quickly.
“Everton are closing on Gana Gueye deal with Paris Saint-Germain,” he wrote.
“Final details will be discussed this week, clubs now negotiating permanent deal.
“Lampard wants Gana Gueye, now optimistic after talks opened last Thursday.”
Here We Go.
Now that everyone is on the same page, we should hopefully see this one go through very quickly.
Romano previously shared that talks were ongoing over a “final formula” and it appears as though that has been found with the permanent deal going full steam ahead.
Gueye will add much-needed steel to the middle of the park, and his ability to sit back and hold will only benefit those around him in midfield.
Allan and Abdoulaye Doucoure have been crying out for someone to sit in the number six role behind them, and hopefully, that will allow them to flourish in each third.
Lampard knew he needed that extra midfield strength, and who would have thought this reunion would have been on the cards at the start of the window.
The final hurdle will be negotiating those big PSG wages, but once that is done, this one should go through will relative ease and hopefully in the coming days.
