Frank Lampard ‘happy’ with Everton business this summer
Everton manager Frank Lampard has revealed that he is happy with the club’s business in the ongoing transfer window as things stand.
The Toffees have been rather slow in the transfer market and as of now have only added three players to the squad.
The former Chelsea midfielder was quoted in a report by the Daily Star where he stated that a lot of work is still to be done before the September 1st deadline.

“The business we have done so far, I am happy with,” he said. “We are working away to look at areas where we can strengthen.
“Of course, we have to look to the last minute in this window to see how we can improve because we came where we did last year for a reason.
“We lost Richarlison, we lost some players naturally that were maybe on loan or out of contract, so maybe it’s a good time for us to take a little bit of stock.”
Roller Coaster Window
It has been a roller coaster of a transfer window for Everton and Lampard so far. After the departure of Richarlison on a big-money move to Tottenham, the fans would’ve been hoping to see some substantial investment in the squad but that has not proved to be the case.
Furthermore, the injuries to their first-teamers, such as Yerry Mina and Alan haven’t helped matters at all.
The three additions the Toffees have made so far will definitely give their squad a boost. James Tarkowski will be a leader in the defence as he has shown that during his entire career at Burnley.

Ruben Vinagre is also an important addition in defence to a side that conceded 66 Premier League goals last season.
However, the most important signing so far is Dwight McNeil, who can definitely prove to be a difference maker in the final third for the club.
Despite all those additions, Everton are still no way near where they should’ve been and with just one month remaining in the ongoing transfer window, it is important that they make a move and sign all the players as soon as possible to avoid any last-minute problems.
