Everton want to seal signing of Wolves captain Conor Coady in timely manner
Everton want to complete the signing of Wolves defender Conor Coady in timely fashion this summer, that is according to 90 min.
The Toffees have been rather inactive in the transfer market and have only managed to sign three players in the ongoing transfer window.
However, as per the latest report, all of that is about to change as Everton are now looking to seal the deal for the 29-year-old in a timely manner.
The Merseyside club are set to face Chelsea in their Premier League season opener on Saturday.
Great signs
Just a few days back, Everton were looking like a team destined to be involved in another relegation battle after making only three signings — centre-back James Tarkowski as a free agent, left-back Rúben Vinagre on loan and winger Dwight McNeil in a £20 million move from relegated Burnley.

However, just a few days later, the Toffees are all of a sudden looking to be in much better shape as they are closing in on the triple signing including Coady.
Those signings also show that manager Frank Lampard is aware of the fact that Everton’s Achilles’ heel last season was the lack of quality on the defensive front which is why if all these three deals go through, five out of the six players arriving at the Goodison Park this summer will be to strengthen the defensive unit.
Once these players will arrive, Lampard is then likely to turn his attention towards signing a replacement for Richarlison who joined Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the summer.
