Allan days with Everton numbered with imminent arrival of Idrissa Gana Gueye, Amadou Onana
Everton’s transfer window had been a rather disappointing one considering that they went into that Chelsea game with only three new arrivals.
James Tarkowski arrived as a free agent, left-back Rúben Vinagre joined the club on loan whereas winger Dwight McNeil arrived at the Goodison Park in a deal worth £20 million from relegated Burnley.
However, that is all about to change as the Toffees are close to completing the double signing of Idrissa Gana Gueye from Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) and Amadou Onana from Lille, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The development will be a pleasing one for the fans of the Merseyside club as the side but on the other hand, it will be a concerning one for Allan.
The Brazil international one of the two defensive midfielders at the club alongside Jean-Philippe Gbamin but with the arrival of Gueye and Onana, it seems like both might well be out of Goodison Park, sooner rather than later.
Defence was clearly an area of concern for Frank Lampard and Everton and he has tried to resolve the issue by signing one player who has delivered the goods in the past whereas one player is definitely the one for the future and therefore, Allan might have no room to play in the season where there is a World Cup-berth at stake
