Chelsea striker search could have big impact on Everton Armando Broja hunt
Chelsea are currently in the hunt for a new striker and their search could have a huge impact on the chances of Armando Broja signing for Everton.
It’s clear that Everton are in desperate need of a new striker after Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s untimely injury and Richarlison’s departure to Tottenham this summer.
Everton have held a long-standing interest in Chelsea youngster Broja, with Inews reporting (24 July) that the Toffees along with Newcastle are hot on the trail on the 20-year-old.
However, it’s understood that Chelsea are reluctant to let the striker leave this summer with the West London club short of forward options at present.
Thomas Tuchel is desperately trying to add a striker to his ranks and Chelsea have recently been linked to Barcelona’s Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang according to The Guardian’s Fabrizio Romano (via Twitter, 3 August).
If the London club can sign Aubameyang, then they may be more inclined to let Broja leave in the coming weeks.

Broja is a promising prospect but is probably not at the level to lead the line for Chelsea as of yet, with Tuchel’s side likely to be pushing towards the top end of the Premier League this season.
Frank Lampard has to be targeting a striker as his next addition at Goodison Park, and he must invest in a quality player to compete with Calvert-Lewin.
The England man has had a torrid time with injuries over the past year and cannot be relied upon to consistently feature for Everton this season.
Evertonians should certainly keep an eye on the transfer business at Stamford Bridge in the coming weeks.
