Everton still in the hunt to sign Chelsea striker Armando Broja

Everton boss Frank Lampard will now turn his attention towards signing a striker, and he wants Armando Broja next at Goodison Park, as per Mark Douglas.

The Northern football correspondent for INews wrote on 9 August that the interest in Broja is “ongoing”.

Everton completed double signings in the past 48 hours, with Conor Coady and Amadou Onana joining the club. The Toffees still have money to spend, and they want to focus on getting Broja next.

Get it done

Broja played in the opening game for Chelsea against Everton at Goodison Park when he came on as a substitute.

The 20-year-old would be a terrific addition at the club, as Lampard desperately looking to bring in a striker.

Everton have done well in the transfer market so far. They have made five signings following the arrivals of Conor Coady, Dwight McNeil, Rúben Vinagre and James Tarkowski.

Douglas has reported on INews that the Toffees will pull off the deal for Idrissa Gueye, as a deal with Everton has been agreed and the move could be sorted anytime before Everton’s next match.

Broja, however, would be huge. He was superb last season on loan at Southampton, and Thomas Tuchel wants him to stay at Chelsea.

With Timo Werner now gone as well, it will require a big effort to bring Broja to Goodison Park, but it seems the Toffees will make a strong push for his signature.
