Everton turn attention to sign Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Mohamed Camara
Everton have switched their attention toward Red Bull Salzburg midfielder Mohamed Camara, according to a report from The Daily Mail.
The Toffees have been heavily linked with a move for Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Idrissa Gana Gueye, and they wanted to bring him back.
The Toffees had hoped to finalise a deal this week for Gueye but they have been unable to find mutual agreement with PSG.

Frank Lampard has wasted no time in turning attention elsewhere and has earmarked the 22-year-old Mali international as an option who is seen as “one of the best” defensive midfielders emerging across Europe.
The report adds that Leeds United and Newcastle United have made enquiries in recent months. The player is interested in the prospect of joining Everton, and he is open to the idea of linking up with Lampard.
The Daily Mail adds he’ll be viewed as a “major coup” if he joins.
Get it done
Gueye would have been an emotional signing for the club, and this would be a massive coup for Everton if they can pull off the deal.
What could work in Everton’s favour is that the player is open to the idea of moving to Merseyside, and this should encourage the Toffees to come up with a formal bid quickly.
Everton could also try to take him on loan with an option to buy permanently next season.
Frank Lampard is desperate to sign a defensive central midfielder this summer, as feels Allan needs support and competition in that department.

He impressed in the Champions League campaign last season, and his playing style is quite similar to that of N’Golo Kante.
At 22, his best years are ahead of him, and Everton should do everything to secure his signature at the earliest.
If the Toffees fail to agree to a loan deal with Salzburg, they may have to pay a huge sum to bring him to Goodison Park.
