Everton must sign proven striker Neal Maupay from Brighton before window shuts
Everton need to make a move for Brighton striker Neal Maupay this summer, who they are interested in according to talkSport journalist Alex Crook.
The Toffees are in the market to sign a striker to bolster the attacking department that has been weakened since the departure of Richarlison who has joined Tottenham Hotspur.
As per the latest report, the player is now pushing to leave the club as well after falling down the pecking order.
Everton arrived in the transfer window knowing that the futures of Richarlison and Dominic Calvert-Lewin were be uncertain as a number of clubs would try and sign these two prolific strikers.
While the latter is set to stay, largely because of an injury he suffered during pre-season training, the Brazil international has already left the club and left a big void to fill.
Signing someone like Maupay will be an excellent addition as he is a proven striker in the Premier League and manager Frank Lampard will know what he is about to get once if the player comes in.
Therefore, in light of the recent development it is time for Everton to make a move as quickly as they can and ensure that the former French U21 international will sign for the Merseyside club.
Maupay has been a Brighton player since the summer of 2019 when he moved from Brentford in a deal worth £14 million [Transfermarkt].
