Frank Lampard to study footage of Bamba Dieng as Everton offered chance to sign Marseille centre-forward
Marseille striker Bamba Dieng is being forced out of the Ligue 1 club by “ruthless” manager Igor Tudor and has been offered to Everton, according to Express journalist Ryan Taylor.
Writing on The Express website on Tuesday (16 July), Taylor reported that Frank Lampard will study video footage of the 22-year-old Senegal international as he weighs up whether to make a move for him to solve Everton’s strike shortage.
Dieng is keen to succeed at Marseille though despite Tudor’s stance and the fact that he’s been left out of their first two matches this season.

The £15million-rated striker rejected a move to Freiburg earlier this summer and isn’t sold on a move to Fulham either.
Brutal
Dieng is kidding himself if he thinks he can stay at Marseille while his manager is trying to force him out of the club.
He’s not played this season and probably won’t play any time soon unless he accepts a move away from the Stade Velodrome.
Taylor claims that OGC Nice are favourites to sign Dieng at this point and while Lampard is mulling over a move for the Senegalese front man, he should probably just leave it.
Although he’s only young at the age of 22, we don’t see how Dieng is worth the £15million mentioned.

He’s only ever scored nine goals in his professional club career with all but one of them coming last season when he netted eight times in 36 appearances across all competitions for Marseille.
One of those goals came against Feyenoord in the Europa Conference League semi-finals while he also netted against Monaco, Rennes and Strasbourg in Ligue 1 last term.
Dieng also scored his one and only Senegal goal to date in the Africa Cup of Nations round of 16 win over Cape Verde. Dieng went on to play for Senegal in their win over Egypt in the final, scoring in the penalty shoot-out.
He can keep his head, that’s for sure.
But there are better options out there for Everton.
