Dele Alli move from Everton to Besiktas not certain

Everton are continuing discussions with Turkish club Besiktas for the departure of midfielder Dele Alli this summer, according to BBC Sport.

The England international’s future remains in doubt as he has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park.

As per the latest report, the discussions are progressing for the 26-year-old’s possible departure from the club.

However, the report further stated that there is no certainty whether the player will eventually move to Turkey in this window.

Big disappointment

Alli remains one of the most intriguing cases in the top flight in English football. The attacking midfielder arrived at Tottenham Hotspur with a big reputation and delivered the goods which made earned him comparisons with the likes of Frank Lampard who is now his coach at Everton.

However, his numbers gradually declined and now he is finding it hard to find a place in the team that just avoided relegation in the previous season.

For the Toffees, this is an opportunity to get rid of a player who has shown very little ever since he arrived at Goodison Park and bring in someone who can produce more quickly.

For the player, the move might give a chance for a fresh start and the England international will be hoping to rejuvenate his career in a new country and in a different league.

If the deal will materialise, he will leave the club after making just 13 appearances across all competitions where he failed to score a goal or provide an assist [Transfermarkt].
