Everton and Bournemouth are reportedly considering whether or not to table bids for Blackburn Rovers striker Ben Brereton Diaz.

According to the Guardian, Frank Lampard is “desperate” to bring in attacking reinforcements this summer and the 23-year-old has been eyed as an option.

With his contract set to expire next summer, he has caught the attention of a number of clubs including West Ham and Nice of which the latter have already submitted an offer.

Act quickly

The Chile international showed last season why he deserves to be in the Premier League as he’s clearly a few grades above the Championship.

He took the English second division by storm and bagged 22 goals en route to an impressive season in Lancashire.

At 23, he surely will be looking to take the next step in his career and a move to the Premier League will be the perfect pathway to achieve that.

Everton are a historic club and he surely would be delighted to work under a big name like Frank Lampard – someone he would’ve grown up watching.

The Toffees cannot afford to waste any more time without making significant moves toward signing a striker.

They have re-entered the race to sign Diaz after first showing interest in March which means that he’s come up in discussions internally and it’s now time they tabke a bid sooner rather than later.

LancashireLive’s Blackburn reporter Jacquob Crooke dubbed the Chilean’s 2021/22 campaign as “phenomenal” back in December and we cannot wait to see how he would fare in the English top flight.
