Adnan Januzaj waits on Everton move as Farhad Moshiri and Bill Kenwright eye transfer
Adnan Januzaj is waiting on Everton and has refused other moves as he looks to return to the Premier League, according to Sacha Tavolieri.
The RMC Sport journalist has shared that the free agent is on the list of possible replacements for Anthony Gordon should he leave the Toffees this summer.
It is shared that the leaders of the club, Bill Kenwright and Farhad Moshiri have already made checks on Januzaj, who is interested in the move to Goodison Park.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, Tavolieri shared the latest news on the Belgian winger as he waits to find the perfect next move for his career.
“Adnan Januzaj waits for Everton,” he wrote.
“The leaders of Toffees checked the name of Diables Rouges in the event of Anthony’s departure Gordon. Reciprocal interests.
“Januzaj , interested, has refused everything so far because he wants to find the Premier League.”
Smart or Stupid?
On one hand, we have seen Januzaj try and fail massively already in the Premier League.
But, there was the huge pressure of playing for Manchester United as a young player who had been tipped to conquer the world of football – that got to him.
On the other hand, the Belgian winger has since turned that around and shined for Real Sociedad, so much so that he thinks he is ready to come back and prove himself in England.
There will certainly be unfinished business given the ridicule he faced after Old Trafford, but this one doesn’t make much sense for the Toffees right now.
We are packed with wingers, but if Gordon does leave with Chelsea lining up yet another bid, it would then make perfect sense.
With our financial trouble too, a free agent move would be brilliant and then leave plenty of cash for a new striker to come in too, which would see this window end with a bang.
All eyes on this one for Everton.
