Everton braced as Chelsea set to make third Anthony Gordon bid next week
Chelsea are ready to make a third approach to try and sign Everton winger Anthony Gordon next week, according to London News Online.
Todd Boehly, the Blues’ new owner, has already had two bids rejected by the Toffees with the latest totalling £45million [Sky Sports journalist Alan Myers] as Frank Lampard and Kevin Thelwell remain adamant on keeping the 21-year-old.
But Chelsea are not prepared to lie down on this matter and next week is now likely to see an offer worth £55million arrive on Farhad Moshiri’s doorstep.

Gordon has played both Premier League games so far as a striker due to the absence of Dominic Calvert-Lewin through injury and could be asked to do so again against Nottingham Forest.
Lampard could, however, call upon Salomon Rondon to start after an impactful substitute appearance away at Aston Villa last weekend to allow Gordon to play on the wing where he is much more comfortable.
Barmy
The England Under-21 international may have impressed last season but £55million is a ludicrous amount of money to pay for someone with one good season under their belts.
Chelsea are there to be rinsed for all of their cash right now because Boehly just does not know what he is doing in the transfer market and Everton have to take advantage.

Gordon is unquestionably a great player for the Toffees but two or maybe even three new signings could be made for the loss of only one player and the overall team has to take precedent.
If this stupidly high offer does come in, Moshiri has to either accept it or ask for even more money because the new owners at Stamford Bridge can’t help themselves and it is going to cost them further down the line.
The 21-year-old would be missed but his replacement can be signed for much less and there will also be plenty of cash left over for more key new arrivals.
