Manchester United join Chelsea in chase of Everton winger Anthony Gordon
Manchester United have joined Chelsea in pursuit of Everton star winger Anthony Gordon this summer, according to The Telegraph.
The 21-year-old is one of the most highly rated youngsters in England and has been linked with a move away from Goodison Park with the Blues leading the charge [Sky Sports].
However, as per the latest report, there are admirers at the Red Devils, who are also keeping tabs on the England U21 international as a potential alternative of Ajax winger Antony.

Crucial
Everton are going through a transitional phase where they have already lost a key player in Richarlison who ended up joining Tottenham Hotspur earlier in the window.
Even though there are clubs who sold more than one important player in the ongoing transfer window — like Leeds Untied who let go of Raphinha and Kalvin Phillips — but the Toffees must avoid doing that at all cost.
The reason is simple as the Merseyside club have not been able to find a replacement for the Brazil international despite him departing weeks ago whereas the other star forward Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been ruled out for the first six weeks after suffering an injury in the preseason.

Therefore, after looking at all those problems, letting a sensational player like Gordon leave will be criminal and it will serve a serious blow to the team’s chances in the 2022-23 season.
It is Lampard’s job to ensure that he keeps the player at the club, at a time when he can become so much better and more important for Everton’s cause.
