Dele Alli set to confirm Everton exit to Besiktas within hours
Besiktas plan to bring Dele Alli to Istanbul within the next few hours to complete his move from Everton to the Super Lig side according to journalist Gokmen Ozcan.
The 26-year-old was due to be unveiled as a Besiktas player this week as reported by Turkish news outlet Fanatik.
Alli was instead an unused substitute in the Toffees’ 1-1 draw against Nottingham Forest at Goodison Park.
However, it now appears the deal could be finalised with Fanatik journalist Ozcan reporting (via Twitter, 23 August) that a move is close to being completed.
He wrote on his personal Twitter account: “Beşiktaş plans to bring Dele Alli to Istanbul within hours.
“As soon as the signatures are signed, the club’s private plane will depart.”
Get him gone
Alli’s stint on Merseyside has to go down as one of the worst transfers Everton have made in their recent history.
The Toffees have been guilty of overspending on underperforming players, but at least some of them make some sort of an impact at Goodison Park.
A sporadic substitute appearance from the former Tottenham man is all that Evertonians got to see from Alli during his time at Goodison Park.

His exit being delayed is far from ideal for Lampard, with there only being a matter of days left in the transfer window.
Getting Alli off the wage books could be crucial in the club hierarchy adding some much needed depth and quality to their ranks.
Every day that the former Tottenham man remains at Goodison Park will make life harder for Lampard to adequately add to his current options.
Evertonians will be hoping that this news means that the 26-year-old is close to finally securing his Goodison Park exit.
