Alan Myers shares view on Neal Maupay, player set to join Everton
Alan Myers has suggested that Neal Maupay would fit in Frank Lampard’s plans as the Brighton striker set to join Everton this summer.
The Brighton striker has undergone a medical on Friday (26 August) as reported by Gianluca Di Marzio. The Toffees are hoping to register him ahead of their next Premier League game.
The Sky Sports journalist has hailed him as an “extremely committed” player, but he wants to see his conversion rate to improve.
Good signing
Maupay would be a very good signing for the club.
Everton desperately need to add a striker to their ranks. Dominic Calvert-Lewin is expected to join the side by next week, but they need depth in that area.
Maupay doesn’t have a brilliant scoring record, but he is definitely an upgrade over Salomon Rondon.
He still has age on his side and will be hungry to prove a point. He is yet to play this season and would be eager to hit the ground running at Goodison Park.

Myers is absolutely spot on here. Maupay is a committed player and he will be a valuable addition to the side.
Having said that, he will be judged by his scoring records at Everton.
The Toffees could add more player to their ranks, if they sell Anthony Gordon. At the moment, he still remains at the club, and Chelsea haven’t come up with the offer asked by the club to sign him.
