Everton could make big statement by beating Crystal Palace for Conor Gallagher
Crystal Palace have made a bid of around £27million for Conor Gallagher, as per The Times, who is also wanted by Everton and Newcastle United.
The report shares that Palace has intensified their efforts to re-sign the midfielder from Chelsea.
The Eagles hope to persuade Gallagher to agree to a permanent transfer. They don’t want to sign him on loan.
Everton are also interested in him, and the Toffees must look to secure a big-money deadline-busting move for the energetic midfielder.
Gallagher was outstanding for Palace last season on loan, but he has struggled to make a strong impact at Chelsea so far.
Patrick Vieira has a close relationship with the player and he can help him get into the World Cup squad for England. That is applicable for Lampard as well who is a Chelsea legend, and who should know Gallagher very well.
The last few days of the transfer window are very crucial for both clubs. If Chelsea sign Anthony Gordon, the Toffees will have the fund to move for Gallagher.
Alternatively, they can structure the move in a way where Gallagher is to be included as a part of the deal for Gordon.
Frank Lampard has bolstered their squad this summer, but adding Gallagher would be terrific for the club.
