Everton are set to be one of the busiest teams in the final few days of the transfer window this week, according to David Ornstein.
The Athletic journalist has reported that the Toffees are finally set to get clarity on what may be possible in terms of incomings at Goodison Park.
It is shared that the priority for Frank Lampard as things stand is the signing of Paris Saint-Germain midfielder Idrissa Gueye to strengthen that area.
Writing in his latest column for The Athletic, Ornstein shared that the revolving doors at Goodison Park will not stop until they simply have to at the end of the week.
“Everton, though, could well be among the busiest teams as, along with the likes of Leicester City, they will finally get clarity on what might be possible before the window shuts,” he wrote.
“The priority for Frank Lampard’s side is Idrissa Gueye.”

This is exactly what is needed, with the squad still not fully complete.
Of course, one eye will also be on the situation of Anthony Gordon, who Chelsea could push for once they have completed the signing of Leicester defender Wesley Fofana.
As for incomings, it looks like Gueye is all but done.
It has been reported that the Senegal international will travel for his medical within 48 hours after everything was agreed upon between the two clubs.
Once that is done, Everton won’t be stopped it seems with numerous new arrivals mooted as we push to put together a better squad than we already have.
Lamaprd will be desperate for that too with question marks starting to arise after our more than poor start to the season in the Premier League this month.
All eyes may be on transfers, so it is hard to remember Everton actually take on Leeds on Tuesday (30 August) with a win there along with these transfers making it a perfect week.
