Chilean journalist delivers verdict on Ben Brereton Diaz move to Everton
Ben Brereton Diaz is “seduced” by the chance to move to Everton but could remain with Blackburn Rovers until January according to Chilean journalist Enzo Olivera.
Lancashire Live revealed on Tuesday 30 August that Everton are yet to make an offer for the Chile international despite being keen on the 23-year-old.
It has since been suggested by Olivera that Everton have reportedly made an offer of £18million for Brereton Diaz.

The European correspondent for Chilean news outlet Redgol said [as quoted by Redgol, 30 August]: “Ben is seduced by the offer, I have good contacts with his environment, but he wants to lend a hand to the Blackburn Rover from a sporting point of view.
“If he leaves, there will be an important economic gain for Blackburn but he has in his head that he wants to move to a Premier League club.
“Everton’s offer reaches 18 million pounds, almost 20 million euros.
“Ben is very undecided according to what they tell me.
“I think he wants to stay at least until mid-season at Blackburn.”
A lot to be done
After the arrival of Neal Maupay, it would not be a surprise to see Everton ease off the gas in their pursuit of Brereton Diaz as the window near its close.
The 23-year-old is a man in demand and Blackburn are fully aware of the importance of him to their Championship aspirations in the 2022/23 season.
Furthermore, Rovers know that there could be a potential bidding war between Premier League clubs for his services in the coming days.

He does fit the profile of player that the Toffees should be targeting, with the 23-year-old a younger player who could develop during his time at Goodison Park and be sold on for a larger fee.
However, a striker is probably now less of a pressing concern for Everton after their latest transfer activity, so it wouldn’t be a shock if the club don’t go all out for the striker in the coming days.
A cheaper option could be targetted by Frank Lampard as he looks to fine-tune his transfer business after a stressful summer window.
