Everton want Dan James to replace Anthony Gordon as Leeds United transfer eyed
Everton want to sign Leeds United winger Dan James as a potential replacement for Anthony Gordon, according to the Daily Mail.
The newspaper has reported on its website that with Chelsea sniffing around the winger, it would take up to £60million to get a deal over the line for Gordon.
Should that happen, Frank Lampard is ready to go for James to improve his options in the final third at Goodison Park between now and the end of the season.

Should Chelsea cough up £60million, it may be hard for Everton to say no.
With less than 48 hours to go in the window, Chelsea could be set to have a free run at that one transfer as they close in on a deal to sign Wesley Fofana from Leicester.
James is also being courted by Spurs towards the end of the window, but it hasn’t gone past an initial interest from both teams who likely need exits first.

Eyes on.
With little to no chance of this developing quick enough before the trip to take on Leeds at Elland Road on Tuesday evening [30 August], all eyes will be on James.
The Welshman has started the past two games for the Whites and could be in line to start again as we look for our first win of the Premier League season in West Yorkshire.
Frank Lampard will just be concentrating on getting the three points, but if he does steal the show then he will no doubt be impressed but it could make it unlikely of a move.
Gordon leaving is simply off the table if you ask many of the fans at Goodison Park, but £60million is a lot of money for a player who has been brilliant but remains unproven.
There is a domino saga that would need to take place for all of these things to happen, and given we are playing this evening and Gordon is in the squad, it remains highly unlikely that any of this actually happens at Everton.
