Fabrizio Romano deadline day news should excite Everton fans
Fabrizio Romano has revealed that Everton are working on many deals on deadline day and that should excite the Goodison Park faithful ahead of a busy day.
Neal Maupay was signed by the Toffees to give Lampard a much-needed striking option but with Dominic Calvert-Lewin’s injury, the club are still looking to sign another forward.
Reliable journalist Romano has provided hope for Evertonians and has suggested that the club are still very active in the market as the deadline approaches.

The Italian journalist told GIVEMESPORT on Thursday 1 September: “They’re working on many strikers, Ben Brereton Diaz, and there are many, many players really that they are considering for that position.”
It’s fair to say that most Evertonians will want this transfer window to come to a close.
There have been rumours of Anthony Gordon departing and the club have been relatively slow when it comes to landing a striker.
However, if Lampard can add one or two more attacking additions to his squad, it would have been a successful window for the Toffees after there was plenty of concern earlier in the summer.
Blackburn striker Ben Brereton Diaz is a name that keeps on emerging and Villarreal attacker Samuel Chukwueze has also been linked with a deadline-busting move to Goodison Park, according to Spanish news outlet Marca (31 August).

Defensively Everton look fairly competent and that has shown in their performances in the early part of the season with the lack of goals the glaring issue for Lampard to tackle.
If the Toffees can add one more attacking player as well as hold on to Gordon, which looks likely now, then it would’ve been a good window for the club.
Let’s hope Romano is right and that the Toffees do have plenty of irons in the fire today.
