James Garner signs Everton contract with transfer now on verge of announcement
James Garner has penned his contract at Everton ahead of his deadline-day move from Manchester United, according to Fabrizio Romano.
The Italian journalist has reported that it is a long-term deal until 2027, with a £15million fee including add-ons agreed between the clubs for the deal.
Everything is said to be completed, meaning the announcement will be on the verge of being released after Idrissa Gueye was also confirmed.

Writing on his official Twitter account, Romano shared the news that another deal is now on the verge of being announced at Goodison Park.
“James Garner has just signed the contract as new Everton player, it’s all done and completed with Man United,” he wrote.
“Long term deal, £15m fee add ons included.”
Signed.
Here we go, as Romano himself would say.
This is exactly the news we were hoping for with another new transfer going through without any hitches, as can always be the case on deadline day.
Our problems in midfield have been very clear, and Frank Lampard has clearly seen that since arriving with Garner set to be the third new face coming in that area.
With the ink drying on the contract, it leaves hours for the Toffees to crack on and try and finish the window with another striker coming in – wouldn’t that be perfect?
Gueye and Garner are done, so we are hoping that another deal can be worked on and confirmed before the end of this window which has been mad on many levels.
Garner will bring that creative spark at the base of midfield to allow us to dominate games, something we haven’t seen for way too long, let’s hope that happens immediately – the Merseyside derby isn’t a bad game to introduce yourself in.
