Everton set to halve losses as financial report makes £59.8m prediction
Everton are set to halve their losses in just one season after they lost £120million last term, according to sport business website Off The Pitch.
Farhad Moshiri has come under fire from large sections of the Toffees’ fanbase for his handling of the club’s cash over recent seasons and many have called for him to sell the club with many interested.
Everton are still expected to make a loss over the course of the 2022-23 season, according to Off The Pitch’s financial forecast of the Premier League, but those losses will be cut by almost 50% to £59.8million.

Matchday revenue is a major area of improvement for the club after having almost an entire season with no fans during the peak of COVID-19 in the 2020-21 campaign.
The soon-to-be-constructed Bramley-Moore Dock Stadium will likely increase those incomings on game day with more than 50,000 able to pile in to watch Everton in the Premier League.
Right direction
The Toffees are far from being out of the woods yet financially but it is encouraging to see that the monumental losses are set to reduce by such a great margin.

This is now just the start of their long road to being financially stable once more while keeping themselves in the top flight before their brand new stadium is ready to be shown off to the world.
The £60million sale of Richarlison to Tottenham Hotspur will no doubt help the figures greatly but Everton still have a negative net spend in the transfer market after late moves to sign Idriaa Gana Gueye, James Garner and Neal Maupay.
Moshiri will know that you sometimes have to make a loss initially to go ahead and profit further down the line and he has backed Frank Lampard this summer in the hope that he is the man to lead the club for the next handful of seasons.
