Nathan Patterson shares view on Everton dressing room
Nathan Patterson has suggested that Everton have a “top team”, and that he has seen a difference in the dressing room this season.
The 20-year-old right-back has played in all the league games so far, and he feels that Seamus Coleman is fighting for his place in the side.
The senior right-back picked up an injury in the pre-season, and has made only one appearance in the league cup.

“The feeling in the changing room is different to last season. You can feel there is more energy and togetherness. [Coleman] is the first one to praise me. It’s great to have that support, especially from the captain and someone in my position who is fighting for a place as well,” said Patterson to The Times.
“We have a top team — it is quite a young team, but everyone is willing to learn and do their best. Obviously we are yet to get the three points but I feel that is coming very soon.”
Mood
The Toffees are yet to pick up a win this season, but there is an improvement in the performance.
They haven’t lost their last four games, and put up a good performance against Liverpool in the Merseyside derby clash.
This has been a massive summer transfer window for the club. They lost Richarlison who joined Tottenham Hotspur on a big-money transfer fee.
The club managed to hold on to other key players like Dominic Calvert-Lewin and Anthony Gordon. They have added some fantastic players as well, and the squad is more competitive than what it was last season.

The midfield has been bolstered by the presence of Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye. Likewise, Lampard added depth in defence by signing Conor Coady and James Tarkowski.
In the attacking department, the likes of Neal Maupay and Dwight McNeil will provide an extra cutting edge.
The performance of Patterson has been really encouraging so far. Everton, however, need to pick up some wins to further boost their confidence.
