Everton have to break the bank to sign Ferencvaros star Adama Traore
Even though the transfer window has now closed, Everton are already looking to January and potential players who could be bought.
Kevin Thelwell and Frank Lampard have been casting their eye across the entirety of Europe and are now in the hunt to sign Ferencvaros winger Adama Traore, according to Calcio Mercato.
The 25-year-old is enjoying a sensational start to the 2022-23 season with the reigning Hungarian champions which has included games in two European competitions.

Traore has five goals in as many Hungarian top-flight games as well as four goals in six Champions League qualifying games.
Ferencvaros were unfortunately dumped out of the Champions League but they did manage to qualify for the Europa League thanks to Traore’s goals with two in two in the final playoff and one already in the group stage.
He was equally prolific last season but has found another top gear this campaign which has propelled him into the spotlight of European football and Everton now want to take him to Goodison Park.

And it is a deal that they should be looking to spend every penny they can on because the Mali international, teammates with Abdoulaye Doucoure, is giving the best teams in Europe a scare.
With Traore predominantly a winger, much like his namesake at Wolves who the Toffees were also considering a move for over the summer, this gives Frank Lampard the chance to complete a potent front three with Anthony Gordon on the opposite flank and either Dominic Calvert-Lewin or Neal Maupay up top.
Hungary might not be the first place Thelwell thought of for the potential January targets but there are hidden gems in every corner of the globe and if Everton choose to look hard enough, they will find them and give the Merseyside club a huge headstart on the rest of the Premier League.
