Michael Ball stunned by Farhad Moshiri promise on new Everton stadium

Michael Ball has been left stunned by Farhad Moshiri delivering on his promise to build a new stadium for Everton, as work continues to progress.

The Bramley-Moore Dock site is really starting to come along as the Toffees get ready to leave Goodison Park behind and start a new era in the Premier League.

Ball admitted that he was wowed by the “top class” stadium with the thoughts of over 50,000 fans there starting to build excitement around the site.

Speaking to the Liverpool ECHO for his latest column, Ball cannot believe his eyes at the work currently taking place at the Dock as it progresses.

“The owner Farhad Moshiri has backed up his promise to build Everton a new stadium, though, and through a combination of the updates from the club and drone footage, it already looks fantastic,” he said.

“People are seeing it from the river when they’re on boats and you can see it rising from the ground.

“I’m thinking, ‘wow, I can’t wait for this to happen now’ it’s totally changed my mindset and seeing is believing. It’s going to be a top-class, modern football stadium right on the banks of the Mersey and what a spectacle it will be when there are over 52,000 fans in there with – fingers crossed – a decent team to match.”

Everton

New Era.

Frank Lampard is building a new project at Everton, and it is really starting to take shape.

Performances on the pitch have been better, and even if we are still chasing that first elusive win of the Premier League season, the team is looking hundreds of times better.

Once those draws turn to wins with this up-and-coming side, new potential signings will start to take notice and with the new stadium coming too, a new breed of players could be attracted to join.

Moshiri has to be praised for his work over the summer as he continued work on the stadium as well as funded numerous new signings despite our clear issues.

Everton are on the way up, and we already cannot wait to see the next stages of work.

It won’t only be the Blues contingent that are wowed by this new stadium though, with away fans surely getting this one straight on their checklist to visit once all is done.

We can’t wait, bring it on.
