Mykhaylo Mudryk January transfer admission should excite Everton fans
Mykhaylo Mudryk admits he “will see what happens” in the winter and that could excite Everton fans after the Toffees failed with a summer swoop.
According to Calcio Mercato (9 September), Everton are planning a January move for the in-demand Shakhtar Donestk forward along with Premier League rivals Arsenal.
The 21-year-old’s latest comments could well spark more speculation as he revealed a number of clubs were after his services this summer.
Talking to CBS journalist Ben Jacobs (14 September), Mudryk said: “Every guy dreams about the Premier League. It’s a top league and everyone wants to play in it.
“But the speculation has passed and I must move forward and focus on Shakhtar and in the winter we will see what will happen.
“There were a lot of discussions about a transfer and clubs who want me, but it’s normal. Now, all my thoughts are only about Shakhtar but in the winter we will see.”
Everton will face a tough task trying to land the 21-year-old in the January window, but if they can, he embodies the type of player that Kevin Thelwell and Frank Lampard are looking to bring to the club.

He is far from the finished article, but at 21 he can develop and turn into an asset for whichever club does secure his services.
Andros Townsend is facing a very uncertain future at Goodison Park and if he departs Mudryk would be the ideal long-term replacement for the Toffees.
Evertonians should keep an eye on this sage, particularly after his comments on a potential January exit from Shakhtar Donetsk. He seems like a player with plenty of ability and has the ambition to play at a higher level.
