Frank Lampard drools over Everton summer signing James Garner
Frank Lampard has showered heaps of praise on young Everton midfielder James Garner.
The 21-year-old midfielder joined in the summer transfer window from Manchester United for an undisclosed fee on a four-year deal.
Lampard says he is a “big fan” of the midfielder, adding that the player has impressed him in training.

“He has trained really well. I’m a big fan of his and really pleased we managed to bring him to the club because I watched him a lot, particularly last season,” said Lampard, as quoted by Manchester Evening News.
“I like his attributes a lot as a midfield player, really happy to meet him as a lad and he’s trained really hard. He’s now fit for selection and gives us another type of option in midfield with his qualities.”
Future
Eyebrows were raised when Manchester United decided to cash in on one of the brightest young talents this summer.
He did well last season on loan at Nottingham Forest where he played a big part in the promotion to the Premier League.
The Toffees paid a handsome fee, that could rise to £15 million, to sign him on the deadline day.

He is yet to feature for the senior side, but it won’t be long before he makes his debut.
Frank Lampard didn’t use him in the Merseyside derby clash against Liverpool. But it seems, he has adapted well in training, and the Toffees boss could use him in the upcoming games.
Everton are yet to pick up their first win of the 2022-23 season, but they have played well in their last four games.
The performances have been better, and there is optimism around the club following the arrivals of eight new players this summer.
