Martin Tyler applauds Everton summer loanee Conor Coady in first half v West Ham

Sky Sports commentator Martin Tyler heaped praise on Everton centre-back Conor Coady in the first half against West Ham.

Coady has been a staple in Frank Lampard’s side after arriving from Wolves in the summer and has provided the Toffees with a solid centre-back duo, partnering with fellow new boy James Tarkowski

The defender was rewarded for his fine start to the season this week, being named in Gareth Southgate’s pre-World Cup squad.

Beast.

Coady has been nothing short of fantastic since joining the Toffees on a season-long loan from Wolves this summer and is proving to be a vital asset in Lampard’s team.

The fact he was rewarded for his good form by being named captain for today’s game against West Ham all but proves his bright future at Goodison Park.

The defender was an absolute beast in the Merseyside derby; he can be a menace to some of the best forwards in world football.

The 29-year-old is already providing the Blues with some essential leadership, something which seemed to get lost from the side last season.

His partnership with James Tarkowski could prove to be pivotal in Lampard’s side’s chances of beating the drop; every top Premier League team has a thriving centre-back duo, this can be Everton’s.

This risky signing is proving to of paid off big-time, let’s hope Everton can secure Coady on a permanent deal after this season; he will have earned it if he keeps up these fine performances.
