Liverpool and Arsenal may be ahead of Everton in transfer race to sign Mykhaylo Mudryk
Liverpool will undoubtedly inflict further misery on Everton if they end up signing their target and Arsenal-linked Mykhaylo Mudryk in the summer.
According to Italian media outlet Calciomercato, the Reds and the Gunners will make an effort to sign the Shakhtar Donetsk winger in the January transfer window.
The Toffees, who failed to sign him this summer, will hate to see their local rivals getting a player they were willing to shell out loads of money for.
Donetsk’s director of football Darijo Srna confirmed that Everton had a £26.1million bid rejected for the Ukraine international over the past few months.
He said, “We received an offer of €30 million [from Everton]. And when our president doesn’t sell a player for €30million, especially in such difficult times, he is sending a message to everyone that he wants to progress in the Champions League and to win the championship.
“Mudryk is a serious talent. After Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jr, he’s the best player in Europe in his position. If someone wants to buy Mudryk they must spend a lot, a lot, a lot of money and respect our club and our president.”

Now that the entire continent is on his heels, there’s a very good chance that he moves to a team that can offer him European, preferably Champions League football.
The best chance for the Toffees to sign him could’ve been over the summer and they will now have to look at alternatives in January or at the end of the season.
However, seeing Mudryk playing in the Premier League for another side will not go down well with the hierarchy as they really wanted to sign him this summer.
