Everton new stadium at Bramley Moore Dock in contention to be Euro 2028 venue

The upcoming Everton stadium at the Bramley Moore Dock is reportedly “in contention” for being one of the venues at Euro 2028.

According to the Times journalist Martyn Ziegler, the Toffees’ new ground is among the favourites for being selected by UEFA with the others being Wembley, Old Trafford, the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium, Villa Park and St. James’ Park.

These names will only be scrutinised if the United Kingdom and the Republic of Ireland win their bid to host the tournament.

Everton

Sounds good

The new stadium is an exciting prospect for Everton fans and if it becomes a Euro venue before its construction, it will add to the intrigue of other fans around the country as well.

The fact that it’s surrounded by water makes it all the more scenic and it’s going to be a modern stadium so the aesthetics are going to be exemplary.

Moving away from Goodison Park will be emotional, but if Everton are to become a big club then do need to have a modern stadium to play in.

This not only attracts more fans to the ground, it also tempts players to move to the club and be part of a new journey.

Usually, new stadiums are followed by more investment into the first team and that undoubtedly is what the plan is to get this team to that level.

If they can attract a manager in the same vein as Carlo Ancelotti, it will be a coup and we do not put that past the club as they have a rich history and will be looking to have a richer future in their new stadium.
