Everton want attacking midfielder in January, plans already underway

Everton are keen to sign an attacking midfielder in the January transfer window, according to iNews.

The Toffees have had an impressive time in the summer where they ended up bringing in eight first-team players.

As per the latest report, the Merseyside club are already in the process of planning for the January transfer window where the target will be to acquire the services of creative players, and specifically an attack-minded midfield option.

Good approach

Everton came into this season hoping to improve what they did last term where they narrowly managed to escape relegation.

One of the reasons why the Toffees have struggled in the recent past was because of the business they did, where they ended up overpaying for players who never really lived up to the expectation and hype.

It was clear that Frank Lampard was keen to change the trend and he did exactly that in the summer, with the focus on bringing players who are not only committed to performing for the club but are also available for the right price.

After a decent start to the 2022-23 campaign where the Merseyside club have recently secured their first win against West Ham, it is important that the side keep progressing in the right direction and signing an attacking midfielder to improve the output going forward would be a big step towards that.
