Everton hire Carlo Ancelotti ally and former Chelsea employee Jack Nayler as Head of Sports Science
Everton have reportedly hired former Chelsea, PSG and Real Madrid employee Jack Nayler to work as their new Head of Sports Science.
Via their official website, the Toffees confirmed that Nayler, who has worked closely with Carlo Ancelotti at a number of clubs, has moved to Goodison Park.
He was most recently holding the same role at RB Leipzig and will now work closely with Frank Lampard and Kevin Thelwell.
Good move
Nayler has the experience of working with elite clubs and all of them have enjoyed varying levels of success under Ancelotti.
Leipzig are a different club altogether but they’re extremely well run and his experience there is certainly going to be priceless.

They are one of the best run clubs in Europe and their data-driven approach has seen them sign quality players and managers.
Nayler should be viewed as a mid-term appointment as we do not expect him to go on and end his career at Goodison Park.
He’s someone who spends few years at clubs and then moves on to his next challenge and that will be good enough if he can revolutionise the Toffees.
Over the past, they have not acted like a modern club and it’s about time that it changes and hopefully, his appointment would lead to that.
