Everton talent Katia Kouyate shares reaction as he agrees new contract

Everton youngster Katia Kouyate has penned a new two-year deal at the club, the Toffees have confirmed today via the club’s official website.

The Under-21 striker, described by the club as a “dynamic attacker”, has penned a deal until the end of June 2024.

He took to Twitter to share an emotional reaction, where he vowed to continue the hard work.

The 19-year-old wrote on Twitter: “After a hard two years full of frustrations and disappointment. We give all thanks to God for the new contract the hard work continues.”

The Toffees are on a roll to dish out contracts to young talents at the club. On Tuesday (27 September), Jenson Metcalfe penned a new four-year deal at the club, as the club continue to reward their best talents.

The 19-year-old striker joined Everton Academy aged eight and broke into the Under-21s team two seasons ago.

He has vowed to work extremely hard and wants to get into the senior side. He revealed his determination to deliver for the club, every time he takes the field.

In an interview with EvertonTv, Kouyate said that the new deal means the world to him and his family.

The young talent has faced a few injury issues in the past, but the Toffees have shown terrific faith in him.

During the international break, the youngster had a taste of training with Frank Lampard’s First-Team squad.

The Toffees have options in the forward department, and the youngster could make it to the senior side.
