Confirmed Everton team news v Southampton in Premier League

Frank Lampard has confirmed his Everton team news for the Premier League showdown against Southampton on Saturday afternoon (02 October).

Sharing his news in his latest press conference via the Liverpool ECHO, the boss confirmed that he is considering the return of Dominic Calvert-Lewin, rather than 100% saying it will happen.

Lampard did admit that injuries have been unfortunate in his squad, but that you can’t cry about it and only hope that others can come in and do the job.

Everton

On a roll.

It is time to keep this winning run going in the Premier League.

There was a big sigh of relief when the final whistle went against West Ham, as we finally got the three points we were desperate for, and easily deserved.

Lampard has built a brilliant team at Goodison Park, starting from the back which has clearly benefitted us massively with that defensive strength previously missing.

Neal Maupay getting his first goal last time out in that West Ham clash will do him the world of good and with the likes of Calvert-Lewin nearly back at 100%, our final third options will be unreal once again.

Southampton have been hot and cold in the Premier League so far, so it will no doubt be a tight affair with one goal possibly being the difference all over again.

That puts the ball in our court firmly in our court, and hopefully, Everton can take advantage of that and continue the rise up the Premier League table.
