Kevin Nicholson confirms Everton exit on Twitter with new role teased
Everton coach educator Kevin Nicholson has left the football club just months after being appointed at Finch Farm by Kevin Thelwell.
It was only in April that Nicholson took on the role with the Toffees designed to get the very best out of all of the coaches under contract at Goodison Park.
But he has now taken to his personal Twitter account to announce that he has left the club with a new role already on the horizon for him.
“Great to have had the opportunity to contribute to the Coach Education at Everton Football Club,” his statement read. “Have learned so much working with people at Finch Farm, across the club and academy.
“Looking ahead, have been fortunate enough to have been offered a leading football role for an international organisation. This is an opportunity that I have decided to take.”
Worryingly short
April to September is just five months and Nicholson is already packing his bags of his own accord to go somewhere else and that should be of great concern to Thelwell.
His overhaul of the staff at Finch Farm has now taken a backwards step and he now needs to re-advertise for the role and try to get someone in the position as soon as possible.

Nicholson is well within his rights to jump ship if he sees a much better opportunity arise for him but working for Everton Football Club should be an already highly sought-after job to have.
He must have been tempted with a bigger pay packet or more opportunities further afield to leave unless there is something more happening under the surface on Merseyside.
Regardless of the motive behind his decision, Everton have to now move swiftly past it and look for someone to fill that role and bring the club’s staff quota back to full strength.
