Josh Brownhill discusses Burnley future amid links to Everton and Leeds United
Josh Brownhill admits that he’s happy at Burnley amid summer links to a host of Premier League clubs including Everton and Leeds United.
In an interview with Burnley Express, who claim that the two clubs along with Wolves, Southampton, West Ham United and Leicester City were circling around the 26-year-old.
90Min even reported in May that the Clarets were looking for a fee in the region of £15million to part ways with the Englishman, but he ended up staying at Turf Moor.

He said, “You hear of all sorts of things that go round, especially when the transfer window is open, rumours fly around, but for me I think everyone has seen from day one that I’ve got my head down and worked hard.
“Whatever happens, happens, but for me I enjoy what we’re doing this year and the manager has given me a lot of confidence. It’s the football that I want to be playing and for me to be playing at my happiest, at this moment in time, it’s at Burnley Football Club.”
Not needed?
Everton were looking for midfielders in January, but after signing James Garner, Amadou Onana and Idrissa Gueye, they look well stacked for now.
With Alex Iwobi being transformed into a central midfielder, Frank Lampard now has another option to choose from in the middle of the park.
Brownhill would’ve been a decent signing before the aforementioned players were brought in, but he would now be redundant at Goodison Park.
We do not see him starting ahead of any of the players and it does not make sense to spend so much for someone who’s going to sit on the bench.
Everton do need a defender and another wide attacker and that would be their priority in the January window so we do not see them returning for Brownhill.
A move for Napoli defender Kim Min-Jae may be on the cards after his recent release clause revelation.
