Everton in attempt to make backroom appointment, 18 October date set
Everton are looking to bolster their backroom staff now that the transfer window is closed but they haven’t given themselves long.
The Toffees are on the lookout for a new Performance Analyst to join the team at Finch Farm and help study each game to find strengths and weaknesses of their own team and opposition too.
There appears to be a rush to get a new person through the door in this position, however, as the closing date for applications is 18 October, according to Training Ground Guru.

The successful candidate, whoever it may be, is set to have a very hands-on role at the football club and Frank Lampard will be looking to find the right personality as well as qualified individual.
From scratch
Lampard had an awful lot on his plate last season to keep the Toffees in the Premier League and once he had done so, he had to try and revolutionise the Everton squad over the summer.
Having now successfully achieved both of those goals, this is now his first real chance to take a good look at the staff at his disposal at Finch Farm and decide who is good enough and where there are holes that need filling by someone external.

The first of those appears to have been found in the performance analyst but it would not be a surprise to see a lot more opportunities open up over the next few months.
This happens at every club that goes through a transition as drastic as this one from Everton with some of the club’s staff needing to be moved on having got them in the mess they were in halfway through last season.
Kevin Thelwell needs to lead the search, however, because games are coming thick and fast for the first team now and Lampard can’t take his eye off the ball right now.
