Everton confirmed XI v Spurs: Dwight McNeil starts
Dwight McNeil has come in for Everton to replace Anthony Gordon as Frank Lampard looks to return to winning ways v Spurs.
Dominic Calvert-Lewin has been named on the bench for this one with Neal Maupay continuing to lead the line for the club.
No change is needed in defence or midfield as the rest of the team pretty much has picked itself on the day.
Tough one
Everton will have to be at their best if they are to pick up three points from this one as Spurs have a quality side on paper and a manager capable of getting the job done.
While they may not play eye-catching football, much like the Toffees, they are difficult to break down, especially when they’re at home.
Lampard surely will have thought of a plan to contain the likes of Son and Harry Kane as the two can turn the game on its head even when their side aren’t in control of proceedings.
A win for Everton here could put them in the top half of the Premier League – something any Goodison Park faithful would’ve accepted 10 games into the season.
There’s a good chance that we see James Garner and Calvert-Lewin coming off the bench in the second half if the Toffees are chasing the game.
Hopefully, they take an early lead and then do what they do best – sit back and make it hard for teams to break them down.
