Five Everton players set to miss out v Newcastle United – Injury Expert

Everton are set to be without five players for their upcoming Premier League showdown against Newcastle United, according to Ben Dinnery.

The injury expert has suggested that Ben Godfrey, Andros Townsend, Nathan Patterson, Mason Holgate and Yerry Mina will all miss out against the Magpies.

Frank Lampard will be looking to turn positive performances into points after impressing but crashing to defeat at Spurs over the weekend.

Sharing on his Premier Injuries website, the expert suggested the heads expected to miss out for Lampard as he looks to return to winning ways.

Anthony Gordon has, of course, already served his suspension in the 2-0 defeat at Spurs over the weekend.

Clear.

Thankfully, there appear to be no new setbacks.

All five of these issues were known about, although there may have been some hope that Mina’s setback was only minor and he could return, but that appears unknown right now.

Despite our issues against Spurs with the likes of Gordon being suspended, there were more than enough chances to take something from the game.

If Amadou Onana and Demarai Gray had found the back of the net, we would have backed our defence to hold out, even against the typical dark arts of Harry Kane.

Holgate appears to be next in line to return from this bunch though, and it was also brilliant to see Patterson back out on the grass after his issue.

The sooner we have that full-strength squad, the better, although the lads have been sensational even without some key faces – long may that continue this season Everton.
