Besiktas forced to release Dele Alli statement after ‘false and untrue’ reports around Everton loanee emerge
Besiktas released a statement on Tuesday pleading with fans to ignore reports about Dele Alli following his loan switch from Everton.
Alli seriously struggled at Everton following his switch from Tottenham, and he was subsequently sent out on loan to Turkish side Besiktas.
The 26-year-old has already been clouded with drama after the club were forced to release a statement regarding “false” information about clauses in his contract.

“‘Dele Alli’s contract is guaranteed to play’, ‘Dele Alli’s uniform promise!’ The headlines are false,” read the Besiktas statement on their club website.
“All of the news that his contract includes a clause in the first 11 in every situation except injury, and that he played in the matches for this reason, contains false and untrue information.
“We kindly ask our fans not to give credence to such news to devalue our football player.”
Oh dear
Alli struggled for game time at Goodison Park and ended up being pushed out of the squad entirely by Frank Lampard.
A loan spell in Turkey was supposed to revive his career and help him rediscover the hunger that made him England’s most promising youngster a few years ago.

However, things seem to be going from bad to worse for Alli. He’s been poor during his Besiktas spell – so much so that the media is accusing him of only starting due to a clause in his contract.
The club have obviously refuted the claims, but it piles even more pressure on Alli to perform. He’s clearly already under the media spotlight, and further disappointment will only see the criticism spiral out of control.
Besiktas are having a bad season as it is, with the side sitting fourth in the Super Lig. As a loan star, he’s an obvious scapegoat for poor results and performances, and it’s down to him to change people’s opinions.
Instead of revitalising his career, this Besiktas loan stint could leave Alli with even less confidence.
